Elections

Each county in North Carolina has a Board of Elections consisting of a three person board.  Board members are appointed every two years by the State Board of Elections.  County Board members take an oath and begin their two year term on the Tuesday following the third Monday in July in odd numbered years.  No more than two members of the County Board of Elections may belong to the same political party.

RESOLUTION OF PASQUOTANK COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS CONCERNING THE MOVE OF PROVIDENCE POLLING PLACE LOCATION

BE IT RESOLVED by the Pasquotank County Board of Elections that: On March 3, 2009, the Pasquotank County Board of Elections voted unanimously to adopt a new polling place location for Providence Precinct. The polling place will be moved from Northside Elementary School to Pasquotank High School. This move is due to the parking problems and the inability to isolate the young students from the voters at Northside Elementary School.
