bulletThere are seven convenience/recycling sites within the county.
bullet$47,000.00 was saved in 2004 through recycling.
bulletWhen you buy products made from recycled materials, you save natural resources, landfill space, energy, and money.
bulletLittering is a misdemeanor and can add 1 point to your license and a fine up to $1,000 for the first offense.  You may also be required to do 8 to 24 hours of community service.
bulletPasquotank County offers a free commercial recycling program and collects office mix, newspaper, magazines, clear, brown and green glass bottles, #1 & #2 plastic bottles and aluminum cans.  You can find out more by  calling (252) 335-4105.
bulletTelephone books are recyclable and can be dropped off at any of the County's 7 convenience sites.
bulletThere are new attractions at Fun Junktion such as a multi-purpose field and Frisbee golf course.
bulletSolid Waste Commission meetings are held at 8:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month in the Commissioner's Conference Room and are open to the public.  For more information call 335-4105.
