HOW IT WORKS

When you dial 9-1-1 from any phone, a telecommunicator will answer. You will be asked several questions, such as “What is your emergency?” and “What is your name and address?”. Stay calm and speak clearly so that you can be understood. Once the telecommunicator has the needed information, they will dispatch the help you need, whether it is Law Enforcement Officer, an Emergency Medical Technician, or a Fire Fighter.
