Volunteer Fire Coordinator
The office of the Pasquotank County Volunteer
Fire Coordinator is there to provide assistance
to and represent the volunteer fire departments
serving Pasquotank County. The coordinator is
there to represent the departments during normal
business hours Monday through Friday 8AM to
5PM.
What this department
does do:

Represents the
volunteer fire departments of Nixonton,
Weeksville, Providence and Newland.

Processes and maintains
fire and training records for each county
volunteer fire department.

Aids each county
volunteer fire department in organizing
special and annual required training.

Provides county fire
reports for insurance purposes released
through permission of the fire marshal’s
office
-
Provides information
to insurance companies pertaining to
insurance ratings.

Orders and assists fire
departments in obtaining fire equipment,
also serves as receiving point for
equipment.

Maintains inventory of
all fire equipment for the county fire
departments.
-
Is the contact person
to reach those in authority at a specific
volunteer fire department.
What this department
does not do:

We do not do fire
inspections, fire investigations or issue
burning permits. They are handled through
the Elizabeth City Fire Department
administrative offices.
