PASQUOTANK COUNTY E9-1-1
Pasquotank County is currently seeking applicants for a Telecommunicator I (part-time) position for the Pasquotank County E9-1-1 Central Communications Center at 11.82/hr. Work hours will vary. Duties will include receiving emergency 9-1-1 and non-emergency telephone calls. These calls will require dispatching appropriate agencies such as Police, Fire, EMS and Emergency Management personnel; operating computer terminal networks such as Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Division of Criminal Information (DCI).
Minimum experience and education: Graduation from high school; working knowledge of the geography, streets and major landmarks of Pasquotank County, Camden County and the City of Elizabeth City; ability to type 30wpm; computer knowledge and skills (data entry/word processing); prior local government dispatching experience preferred.
Special requirements: Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina, possession of a DCI certificate or ability to obtain one within 6 months. Be 21 years of age and have a clean criminal and driving record is a must.
